Lillian is a 16-year-old girl that has been in the foster care system for close to three years.

Adoption specialist Tracy Holloway says, "she gets along well with others, she's considerate and kind... she likes to laugh and have fun."

When we met her at the salon to get her hair, nails, and make-up done, she claimed that she was a little shy. We quickly learned that she was more outgoing than she described.

When adopting an older kid, they have to agree to be adopted.

They have to sign an affidavit for the courts saying they approve of the family that wants to adopt them.

This is a little different than adopting younger kids.

Lillian says she looks forward to being a part of a family that goes to church and travels. She likes to travel and wants to live in the city one day.

She plans on going to college one day to do social work and even talked about graduate school.
