Crews respond to multi-vehicle crash with injury

INDEPENDENCE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - Emergency crews were called to a crash Friday, September 15 involving multiple vehicles with people trapped inside.
According to a Batesville Fire Department media release, two concrete commercial vehicles and two passenger vehicles were involved in a crash on Heber Springs Road around 2 p.m.
Independence County Sherriff Shawn Stephens said there were injuries in the crash. Two people were taken to the hospital.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene including the Independence County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, Batesville Rescue, Desha Fire Department, and Vital Link EMS.
Arkansas Department of Transportation reported all lanes were impacted by the crash.
