Grain bin fire near Otwell now contained
OTWELL, Ark. (KAIT) – The excitement has died down at the scene of a grain bin fire near Otwell.
Earlier Wednesday morning, emergency crews were dispatched to the fire, located along Craighead County Road 448, according to Jonesboro and Craighead E-911 Dispatch.
According to crews on scene, the grain bin was flushed out with water to prevent any reignition. A small group of responders will stay on the scene to monitor the situation for a few hours.
The Valley View and Southridge Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the fire, and Jonesboro Fire Department is also provided a ladder truck.
We currently have no word on how the fire started or if anyone was injured.
